One perk about having my little sister Abby as my sister (amongst the thousands of reasons) is she is THE BEST gift buyer!…seriously (I’ll be sharing some of her awesome gift ideas in the future with you!)
But yesterday I was having a bit of a tough day and she came home with this little heart shaped plant as a “feel better” present. Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes. It was so simple, and so thoughtful.
So this cute plant is called the Sweetheart Hoya! …and I mean just looking at it will make ANYONE happy!!
Later I discovered it is a SUPER PLANT!! It’s the lowest maintenance, most beautiful plant on the market (that is also safe for cats and dogs.)
The Hoya plants are great with low light and only need to be watered once in a while – once a week should do the trick!
I think I would MELT if a man bought this heart shaped house plant for me. I mean…screw the roses…get me a literal heart shaped flower to profess your love!!
I feel like house plants are so much more practical too! They don’t die as fast a bouquet does!
I literally have a houseplant that I received the DAY I bought my apartment 3 years ago and it’s still alive and reminding me about that big moment!
Now there are many benefits to having a houseplant.
Science has shown that they purify air, improve breathing, help fight off illnesses, increase feeling of calm, and improve your mood …which results in a happier you!
Another great thing about the Hoya plant is their delightful heart-shaped leaves! They also produce very beautiful and picturesque blooms (see below)
.
Next time you feel like treating yourself to something, or you’re looking for a great housewarming gift idea why not pick up one of these little guys and make someone smile just like my sister made me blubbery mushy happy mess! I would encourage you to even write a little message on the petals surface in chalk if you wanted to give a personalized gift!
Lastly, this little hoya plant only cost $11.00 CAD at Canadian Tire!! #Winning!
So what are you waiting for!?!? Happy Hoya Houseplant buying!
