Okay, One thing that DOESN’T make me happy is…Waxing! Ladies, are you with me or are you WITH ME!?!?
Beside my “Time of the Month” the WORST time of the month is when I have to wax any unwanted hair… I literally dred the days I have to lay down on the table and feel each hair follicle get ripped right out of my body! Ugh!! So I did some research on different less painful waxing options out there and I found an alternative….Now, it’s not a TON better…but it is a little better…which goes a long way in this situation!
…It is called Sugaring!
What is it?
Sugaring hair removal, an ancient middle-eastern practice that uses an all natural paste made from just sugar, water, and lemon juice to remove the hair follicle from the root. I find the results last a bit longer then waxing — For me, it lasts up to 6 weeks.
How Does it Work?
The traditional technique takes the warmed thick mixture and applies it first in the opposite direction of hair growth then the sugar is flicked off in the in the direction of the hair growth.
..literally I would be listening to some intense Dr.Dre song trying to be head strong while watching chunks of this sugar wax getting flung into the air!! It was kinda bazaar!
I went to a place called Sugarmoon in Toronto – They have 3 locations – I go to the College Street one!
The ladies there are pleasant, professional and CAREFUL! If you dread your waxing sessions as much as me I highly recommend trying this out.
Plus…Just saying I’m going to my “sugaring appointment” rather then “waxing appointment” makes me much happier!

Thanks for the tip! I’ve been dreading and putting off my next waxing appointment, so am thinking I’ve got to try sugaring instead, since flinging sugar sounds awesome. 🙂 Also? That “Bling Your Thing” on their site is making me giggle like a five year old, heh.
BTW, I feel like I might start stalking your website. Just saw a post that mentions both the Marvel Tour AND Beanie Babies, and am wondering why I haven’t seen your site before!
Haha stalk away my friend! Thanks for the huge compliments — It totally made my day! 🙂 #BeanieBabiesRule!!
